We’re in full-on wedding mode here at PeopleStyle, bringing you the best in beauty, fashion, gifts and etiquette all week long. So it’s fitting to end wedding week with a deep dive into all the details behind Odd Mom Out‘s Abby Elliott’s elegant New England wedding. She tied the knot to screenwriter Bill Kennedy last October, and this month landed the cover of Martha Stewart Weddings where she divulged every single wedding detail. Pull up Pinterest, because you’re going to want to pin everything!
Elliot opted for a very traditional gown, going with a V-neck, long-sleeve lace design by Leanne Marshall, which wasn’t originally the dress she envisioned for herself. “I thought I was going to go with a bohemian style, something a bit different,” she previous told PEOPLE of her dress style. “I ended up with something opposite.”
As for accessories, she carried a custom Edie Parker clutch with the word “Mrs.” written in glitter across the front, which she borrowed from her colorist (and friend) Rita Hazan. She chose T-strap Charlotte Olympia sandals for the ceremony before switching into more comfortable wedges for the reception.
She incorporated “something old” into her wedding day with her vintage engagement ring, which was originally Kennedy’s grandmother’s.
The groom wore a custom light blue Duca Sartoria suit topped off with his great-grandfather’s watch and sapphire cuff links.
All the bridesmaids were in coordinating colors (either a light blue or purple), but they all chose styles from different designers, which included Adrianna Papell, Jenny Yoo Collection, Eliza J, Jenny Yoo for BHLDN and Donna Morgan.
The two married in a church ceremony followed by a reception at her parents’ gothic style home in New England (her father is comedian Chris Elliott). “I was nervous, but as soon as my dad and I started walking down the aisle, a calm washed over me,” Elliott says.

If you’re wondering how she orchestrated a wedding so picture-perfect, she was a secret Pinterest planner. “I knew I wanted to marry Bill right away,” says Elliott. “I had a secret Pinterest board with our wedding all planned out.”
The pair met while working on the movie Sex Ed in 2013, but didn’t go on their first official date until a year later when they both were single. They dated for a year and a half before he popped the question after decorating their apartment with candles and flowers.
