Christi Lukasiak and Jill Vertes have bonded over being Dance Moms, and now they have one more thing to bond over — the reality TV stars decided to get back-to-back laser liposculpture procedures to fix areas on their bodies they were self-conscious about.
Lukasiak, 40, had lost over 50 lbs., which left her with uneven body proportions and loose skin, as well as some areas of stubborn fat she wasn’t able to get rid of with traditional diet and exercise. The mom-of-two decided to go to Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Aaron Rollins to undergo AirSculpt, a lipo-laser procedure that uses air pressure to remove fat through a 2-mm hole, to slim down her abdominal region.
“I am getting a little bit older and I’ve had two children and I just felt like it was something I wanted to do for myself,” Lukasiak tells PEOPLE. “I had c-sections with both of my children, and I recently lost some weight, and I still was having issues losing weight in that area. It seemed like a good fit for me at this point in my life.”
Lukasiak told her Dance Moms co-star Vertes about the procedure, and she got on board as well.

“I’m 51 years old and I’ve had three children, and I spent a lot of time over the last six years traveling and living out of apartments and hotel rooms, so my eating habits have been crazy,” Vertes tells PEOPLE. “I’ve gained weight, and I haven’t been on a schedule where I could exercise. My body got out of control. When I heard that there was a non-invasive way to contour certain parts of your body, I was all in. I almost didn’t believe it! But I just thought, I’m at an age and I just haven’t been disciplined with my body, so if I could cheat a little, I was going to do it.”
Lukasiak and Vertes — who had her procedure done on her waistline and back — both had their AirSculpt procedures done on May 1, and are already seeing results.
“I’ve probably lost close to four inches around my waistline,” says Vertes. “That’s a lot because I’m only 5’3″! I’m looking forward to feeling good in shorts and a bathing suit, and just feeling younger.”
“I am looking forward to just not having to wear Spanx all the time!” adds Lukasiak. “It was probably one of the easiest things I’ve done, and I’m really happy I did it.”
