‘It’s Unimaginable’: Duke University Student Vanishes After Party In Massachusetts

For the third day, Massachusetts police continue searching for a Duke University student who went missing Sunday morning after attending a party, according to multiple reports.

Michael Doherty, 20, was last seen around 1:30 a.m. Sunday “where he had been attending a gathering with some friends,” Franklin police told the Boston Globe.

Doherty’s T-shirt and a shoe were discovered on Sunday near a swampy area close to his parents’ home, according to a report from Boston TV station WBZ-TV. On Monday, a second shoe was discovered near a golf course.

His parents initially called police to say their son had been at a party the previous evening but had not returned home, reports TV station WHDH.

Investigators are searching the area with dogs, boats, helicopters and drones.

Doherty was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt with a Nike logo, black pants and sneakers. He is 5′ 10″ with brown hair and brown eyes.

He is a junior mechanical engineering major at Duke University and was home for summer break.
