The couple stepped out together on Tuesday night, hitting up the iO West comedy club in Hollywood — where a source tells PEOPLE the Saturday Night Live producer, who helps scout talent for the show, was happy to have colleagues meet her superstar boyfriend.
“Lindsay was at the club for work and Ben tagged along,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Lindsay met up with a few business associates and happily introduced Ben as her boyfriend to everyone. She looked very proud to bring him.”
Affleck’s brother Casey also stopped by to join in on the fun.
After the show, Affleck, 44, and Shookus, 37, headed to dinner at renowned L.A. restaurant Osteria Mozza. An onlooker tells PEOPLE the couple had a quiet dinner, ordering pasta dishes and a bottle of wine.
“She did most of the talking. Ben was more quiet,” says the onlooker, adding that Shookus had résumés and headshots from the comedy club in hand. “They had a quick dinner. It seemed to be a quiet night for them.”
“She was in a great mood, smiling and laughing,” the onlooker continues. “She was very flirty and seemed happy to be out with Ben. He was more reserved, but did manage to crack a few smiles.”
Their night out came the same day Affleck’s mom, Chris, was spotted taking a friendly stroll in Los Angeles with Affleck’s estranged wife Jennifer Garner in Los Angeles — smiling, laughing and walking arm-in-arm throughout the walk.
On Wednesday, Affleck spent some quality time with his daughter Violet. The father-daughter duo was spotted stopping by an Apple store in Los Angeles where they looked at iPhones together.
A friend told PEOPLE Affleck and Garner, 45, who coordinated their divorce filings in April after almost two years of separation, will continue to put their children — Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5 — first.
“He’s trying to live a normal life and is focused on putting his family first,” explained the friend. “Ben and Jen have worked hard to figure out what’s best for their kids. They’ll continue to spend time together and separately.”
